The Difficulty of Gaining Muscle

Everyone can gain muscle mass, the fundamentals of building muscle are quite straightforward. Lift weights, eat… LOTS, and consistency.

Even though theoretically, the three fundamentals are simple they are also the biggest downfalls in people’s muscle growth training. Over the years as a physiques coach, I’ve been able to observe people’s regimes and lifestyles to see where people are lacking.

It’s always the same thing. People see their first 3-week “beginners bulk” and in the following month’s progression stalls, results dwindle and motivation falls off a cliff. The only thing that grows is frustration. These are the three most common obstacles I see.

Training

– People don’t work out correctly, effectively, or consistently enough to gain muscle. Without a progressive programme that wisely balances training volume, frequency, and intensity, you won’t challenge your body sufficiently to achieve muscle growth.

Nutrition

– People do not compliment their muscle-building workout with adequate nutrition. You will not be able to grow more muscle tissue long term unless you use a proven strategy that works for YOU.
